About Advice for Black Women
Advice for Black Women is a community-first resource hub created to support Black women across the United States with practical information and trusted links for health, family, housing, and finances. We center real-life advice — how to find a clinic that will hear you, how to navigate maternal care, how to get emergency housing, and how to manage bills and credit during crisis.
Our mission
We strive to reduce barriers to care and opportunity by curating accessible resources, step-by-step how-to guides, and vetted community organizations that serve Black women and families.
What we do
- Maintain an up-to-date resources directory (national and state-level).
- Publish practical guides: applying for benefits, finding affordable care, and budgeting for families.
- Share stories and tips from people with lived experience.
Core values
Respect, accuracy, accessibility, and cultural safety. We are not medical professionals; our site provides information and links — always consult qualified providers for diagnosis or treatment.
